Replace that 5,172.41 tons of gold ore with 5,172.41 tons of of granite rock and divided by 100 tons of granite rock = 51.7241 batches with each batch representing 100 tons of granite rock.

The total amount of thorium and uranium used in a mini-molten salt breeder reactor will be hundreds of thousands of times more than enough to process all of these 5,172.41 tons of granite rock to extract all of these 12 key critical strategic metals. If one can convert all of that uranium which is more than 99% useless non-fissionable depleted uranium 238 into useful plutonium 239 which is $4,000.00 per gram will equal to about $1,600,000.00 take away $904,772.72 worth of 50 pounds of gold = $695,227.28 as a net balance! That is just from the useful, fissionable PU-239 which will be used inside a mini-BREST reactor and mini-molten salt reactor that can simultaneously reprocess the initial start up fissionable nuclear Pu-239 produced new replacement fuel and consumes their own nuclear wastes as additional nuclear fuel to eliminate the need for expensive long term nuclear waste disposal and storage. What more will the net value be after deducting all costs of production processes if we add up the net value of thorium, lead, lead, tungsten, copper, vanadium, nickel, chromium, manganese, titanium, iron, and aluminum. -

If we are already willing and had spent tons of money in building the necessary industrial mining and processing and smelting and refining infrastructure and technostructure and machineries and others, etc to mine 5,172.41 plus tons of gold ores to get and produce a mere 50 pounds of gold. Then comparing the money earned by gold to the money earned by these 12 metals, then I rather be mining and processing ordinary granite rock which can produce these 12 metals which are indefinitely and infinitely much more useful than gold!
Every ton of granite rock contains the equivalent of 50 tons of coal energy in the form of uranium and thorium. If we are allowed to use the nuclear "Breeder Reactor" concept and also in the way of the Russian BREST nuclear reactor concept that can indefinitely recycle it's own nuclear fuel and therefore will never run out of nuclear fuel and simultaneously consumes it's own nuclear wastes and eliminates the long term problem of used nuclear fuel storage and nuclear wastes storage.
The initial use of heavy water reactors can eliminate the need for enrichment and the un-enriched uranium can be used directly to produce nuclear power and convert the outer thorium blanket into U-233 which is fissionable. The used un-enriched uranium can be recycled into fissionable plutonium 239 and uranium 235 (whatever is left during the heavy water reactor fissioning process). The Pu-239 can now be used for 2 kinds of reactors. the 1st one is the breeder BREST reactors to convert all depleted non-fissionable U-238 into fissionable Pu-239 and the non-breeder BREST reactor to use the Pu-239. And both has the ability to recycle their nuclear fuel indefinitely into new nuclear fuel and consumes their own nuclear wastes as additional nuclear fuel which eliminates the nuclear wastes storage problem. (These BREST reactors has run into opposition in the 90s up to the present year 2016 for they threaten the selfish vested economic-political interests of the "NUCLEAR WASTES STORAGE FACILITIES INDUSTRIES" which wastefully stores nuclear wastes instead of reprocessing them into new nuclear fuels and into useful nuclear medical isotopes of which the world is literally running out!).
And granite deposits are as common as ordinary soil and are found everywhere, and will never run out! And we do not have the need to prospect for rich deposits of metal ores and/or mineral ores! Virtually, everywhere, we have all the required raw materials to feed and energize an industrial economy indefinitely. And all what we need to do is to have the will to fight against the vested political-economic interests who will be against this, since this very scientific knowledge is a threat to their raw material and energy cartels and monopolies that they themselves have created in the first place in order to enslave humanity.
In every 100 tons of average igneous rock such as granite contains 8 tons of aluminum, 5 tons of iron, 1,200 pounds of titanium, 180 pounds of manganese, 70 pounds of chromium, 40 pounds of nickel, 30 pounds of vanadium, 20 pounds of copper, 10 pounds of tungsten, and 4 pounds of lead. And in a ton of granite there are about 12 grams of thorium and 4 grams of uranium. Therefore in every 100 tons of granite the amount of thorium we can get is 1,200 grams of thorium and 400 grams of uranium. As to extracting these elements from granite the 1.2 kilograms of thorium and .4 kilogram of uranium that can be extracted from every 100 tons of granite rock can provide more than enough power to extract these metals from every 100 tons of granite rock. And produce more than enough surplus power for other purposes if we are allowed to use the nuclear "Breeder Reactor" concept and also in the way of the Russian BREST nuclear reactor concept that can indefinitely recycle it's own nuclear fuel and therefore will never run out of nuclear fuel and simultaneously consumes it's own nuclear wastes and eliminates the long term problem of used nuclear fuel storage and nuclear wastes storage.
Nuclear power can provide the light and heat and power for these lists of life-supporting and recycling technologies.
For human life-support, Haven't they heard of close-loop Living Machines Biosphere systems and Industrial ecosystems that can transform all kinds of wastes into useful raw materials to produce fresh air, fresh water, fresh food, herbal medicinal plants, co-generated energy biogas, fiber, and other things. Combining them with thermal depolymerization and supercritical water wet-oxidation can literally clean things up along with liquid ozone treatment of polluted rivers and streams and springs and underground water tables. -

This trencher is the commodity that truck drivers dream to haul. If one part of the trencher is late they will pay triple the price to deliver it wherever the destination might be.
