My dad had an 8560 massey just like the one that sold on here and my grandpa had a 410, 550, and 860 combine before then. I wasn't around when he had those combines but I was around when my dad had the 8560. Spent a lot of hours in it. It was a damn good machine. We had a cuzin who worked on massey equipment for a living so it was convenient for us to run massey. But then he retired and the closes place to get parts was 2 hours away. So we switched to John Deere since there was a dealer 30 mins away.

I would not so much blame the banks the farmer who signs the dotted line puts himself in that situation.

You know, although I love these farm sales- it sometimes means, that another hard working farmer family bites the dust.... Its ok,if they just retire and sell their equipment, but often the gready banks, which pushed them into debts(sir, dont you need another loan for your nice family run farm?? ) suddenly shut the accounts ,make a foreclosure and make a bonanza by pushing the next farmer into big mortgages....
