U.S. Marines firing the M2 .50 Caliber machine gun. The M2 Machine Gun, Browning .50 Caliber Machine Gun, is a heavy machine gun designed during WWI by John Browning. The M2 uses the larger and more powerful .50 BMG cartridge, which was named for the gun itself (BMG standing for Browning Machine Gun). The M2 has been referred to as "Ma Deuce" or "the fifty" in reference to the caliber. The design has had many specific designations; the official designation for the current infantry type is Browning Machine Gun, Cal. .50, M2, HB, Flexible. It is effective against infantry, unarmored or lightly armored vehicles and boats, light fortifications and low-flying aircraft. They don't know how to operate te .50 correctly. Timing problems. You hear the rate of fire slow down. I assumed the salved the problem by replacing the barrel. Proberly didn't use the headguage tool.

Have you guys ever heard of a burst which is what you are suppose to use, and like others have said you definitely need to set the head space and timing. When everything is set right, Ma Deuce is a weapon to be reckoned with.

They probably get too hot and are swapped out to prevent damaging the barrel.
-
head space an timing anyone

why did they switch the barrel?
-

-

The m2 was actually replaced by the m2a1 50 cal
