I'm loading up my homemade dump trailer with sand and rocks using my John Deere 5055D tractor. The Homemade dump trailer was fabricated from an old Chevy Makita truck bed I bought from a friend recently. The original truck axle was a little too wimpy for the projects I intend to do with the dump trailer, like haul firewood and sand/rocks. I had replaced the truck axle with a mobile home axle which I narrowed and welded together to the final width. The 2 1/2" hydraulic cylinder is driven by a 12 volt power up/power down hydraulic pump located within the plastic storage box located in the front of the trailer. As I state in the video I load 3 tractor buckets of sand/rock combo which is about max for the dump trailer.
