Machines | lego construction trial
videos | at work | information | view | construction
This is a trial of Lego construction machines to feed and remove Lego balls from great Lego ball contraptions. The excavator is from the technic set 8294 and was re built by a friend to use the Lego power functions IR set. The final build will see it complete with powered tracks and panels. The front end loader is scratch built with pneumatic arm and bucket and power functions IR steering and drive, again the final build will see it paneled and detailed. We will soon have a dumper truck built to complete the set up.

@fireworkstarter Bricklink for starters, or find someone of ebay whos sells them. I was lucky, a friend found a seller on ebay who sold them in the hundreds.
-
how do you get the balls

thanks for your comments. The forklift was made for a ball factory project me and my friends are working on. There will be the excavator, shovel loader, a tipper lorry, a fully automated factory and the fork lift. the next project is a articulated lorry to carry the ball pallets. watch this space almost finished building everything.

We don't get Rokenbok in the UK, very cleaver idea. Lego is expensive and takes a lot of time to design everything then build them, but that's part of the fun.

In case you were wondering I subscribed to you. And I cant wait to see what more there is to come. You know this reminds my sorta of rokenbok. You use remote control trucks to play with the balls in a built arena.

This is great fun :) i enjoy building and designing them more though. This is just the beginning lots more to come, fully automated ball factory soon. thanks for the comments.

Wow what a great way to PowerFunctionize the excavator and other vehicles. This looks like lots of fun.
