About time some one knows how to machine, today's cad want to be, would use a 1/2 end mill , and take a week to do this!!!!
-
Wow, I bet you couldn't do that kind of cutting on a 40 taper spindle.
-
That aint nothing .... my 30 planer head has 198 inserts. But I haven't indexed them in 18 months either.
-
lol yea that would be terrible! especially after running dry so they are crazy hot!

kyocera? didnt they build printer and all these stuff?

A company I worked for had this style of cutter. Spindle motor was 50hp. The load meter would go to 3/4 when loading the cutter like that. Awesome when inserts are sharp. A nightmare when one of the inserts decide to bail.

it's pretty sweet, but fuck having to change all those inserts.
