I first saw a Komatsu track loader over here in England back in the 1970's,the early ones looked similar to the Cat 977 and 955 with the engine at the front, they were very popular for a while until excavators became the machine of choice, hardly ever see one now.

I don't see many of these around would love to run one though. Looks like it would be fun for a day or two.
-
it needs some grease
-
I like Komatsu to both our wheel loaders are flawless never break down and we run them hard God knows they basically ran 24 hours a day for 3 months this winter and no issues. I wanna operate a track loader never been around one long enough to hop in drivers seat. I bet that would do the job at the farm

are you just for fun to this equipment yard or are you actully looking for a machine?
-
Good grief! Get out of that machine and lube that thing!
-
Warning: If you keep playing with Komatsu equipment you will find yourself owning one. They are fast, smooth, and reliable. Just like a Volvo and everyone talks shit about those too. I find most people dont know what their mouth is doing. These are good machines.

How is it going with your Link Belt excavator
Chris ? -
Is this an equipment auction?
-
Is that a rental yard? or your yard?
-
Looks like a cool little loader.

I worked for a company in Edmonton years ago that had a pair of those D-66S's everybody hated them and wanted a 953 or 963 but if they complained they got the old D-75S with only a canopy and burnt oil like it was going out of style.

cool machine thanks for the video
-
Nice!! Needs grease.. ;)
-
Nice iron shoulda picked it up!
-
Looks to be a direct competitor to the 963 Cat?
-
So what was your opinion of the machine? the layout of the controls , gauges visibility ? Would you buy one if the price was right ?

I've been around heavy highway and heavy civil construction my whole life in florida and I've NEVER seen a track loader on a job site. It sure as hell would be useful moving muck around with off road trucks it seems like.
