thank you ! we watch this at TEXAS STATE TECHNICAL COLLEGE to get a better understanding!

The easy way to remove any possible wheel bearing play is to have someone step on the brakes while you re-check play.
-
@lisa Lopez to be honest I think the place where I went to get my brakes done put cheaps drums on it nd that's why it happened - got the right size all brakes are good now -- cheap things can get very expensive me always make sure you buy ur parts at the dealer nd take it to install that's all

I'm curious as to why he's remove the spider plate to get to the king pins. I'm assuming its for video purpose cause you can access the bolt to remove the king pins without removing the spindle.

Hey man I am a diesel student and I just wanted to say love your video series here on removing and replacing the kingpins. I think you should make more mechanical videos dealing with heavy trucks. I like your down to earth approach on things, because it makes it easy to follow! I really enjoyed the videos thanks a lot for putting them up.

If driver's side is not loose, then verify that both ends of the kingpin are accepting grease. If they do, then leave it be.

I'm an automotive tech, ASE certified. Never replaced a kingpin before on a vehicle. But I got my first taste on a Mitsubishi Fuso truck. Gotta give you props man! Cause doing a kingpin job makes replacing struts or ball joints look like a walk in the park!

Thanks Dave I appreciate the feedback! Times are tough and I am just using it around my property so any money I can save the better.

@JustinGiffi it's up to you..Know one wants to do unnecessary work, if nothing else pull the pin to make sure the grease Has not gotten hard in the passage ways, clean it up real good and put it back together...Dave

I have a 1997 international 4700 that the passenger side king pin has alot of play but the driver side is tight, would you recommend replacing just the passenger side or both? I am new to medium duty trucks so any advice would be appreciated. Thank you Justin

at 7:07, you stated that the other side lug nuts come off the same way, Im pretty sure its supposed to be the opposite way on the other side. These appear to be Stud Piloted wheels...
