Machines | Kenworth Tri-Axle Dump Truck, Axle Cam
videos | at work | information | view | construction
Only the Bobcatninja will risk his camera for this shot. Showing how the drop down axle works on our Kenworth T300 Tri-Axle dump truck. Dropping the axle allows us to carry 13,000lbs more of material. It is a steerable axle but as you can see I pick it up when I take hard right hand turns because it will still "slide" or "drag" across the pavement when it is down. For some reason I think I could watch this all day. I think this is really cool. haha. Like what you see? Check out The Dirt Ninja on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/TheDirtNINJA

You don't suppose to put the drop axle down while the truck is moving

@BobcatNinja2124 Nice thats what i thought it sounded like i talked to a local trucker with an alli in a mack and he likes it for some things but not for others like on hills he finds it doesnt shift as soon as he would have on a manual.
