the primary number is the series number so as haylockmedia says, this is an 8r and then the 3 following numbers are the hp so 345hp in this case. so all the new series run this so if you see a 6210r it is a 6r series with 210hp etc etc! hope that helps
-
You have to try track :-) but i prefer cat I
-
Buy a caterpillar.
-
its not a 40 serie like the previous 10,20 and 30 its a complete new serie you still have the 6000 serie 7000,8000 and 9000 but the difference is that the last 3 numbers are the hp of the tractor so in this case this is a 8R with 345 hp and Tracks
-
not an r they have angled headlights
-
Yes but it's a John Deere so I wouldnt
-
Well, I ploughed with 5 furrows and a 90hp tracklayer (Marshall) 40 years ago. Progress?
-
You have to remember that 345 is the engine horsepower and not PTO power. The 8 345 R would be roughly the same as the older 8530, around 275hp on the pto, give or take a little
-
Every John Deere tractor after the 7th series (in particular 7530 model) imported in Europe comes only from USA. That's what I know. :)
-
8 = Range 345 = Power in hp R = Specification (A-Z scale - R = quite high) T = Tracked
-
@JD6920inBerschweiler Isn't 345 HP a little much for a 7 bottom plow?
-
@tractorboy8420 8345RT 8=Frame Size, 345=Engine Horsepower, R=model and T=tracks we have 5 in North Dakota
-
@tractorboy8420 I'm pretty sure that the last 3 numbers indicate how much horsepower. So 345hp in this case. But I could be wrong.
-
@JD6920inBerschweiler Thanks for that bit of information. Is this only relevant on the new 8 series John Deere's?
-
american
-
These tractors are built in Waterloo,Iowa
-
john deere made a new number system the 8 is the type series and the 345 is the power of the engine
-
not 40 series. jd now numbers there tractors by engine horsepower. hence, 345 engine hp, the 8 stands for 8000 series. the 8225 RT is 225 engine hp and so on...
