videos | at work | information | view | construction
Just a video showing our John Deere 710B backhoe trying to start on a cold day. I don't want to hear how bad it is to use Ether to help a diesel engine start. So you can keep those comments to yourselves please!

Block Heater on mine works great, I have glass around cab so its not so bad when it snows, but it will start up much easier then this with the block heater on turned for at least an hour, even if it goes down below 0.

OMG YOU used ether...that's so bad!! hahaha just kidding dude. had to.

Because I thought that was supposed to warm it up and make it start better! No, the light switch on this backhoe is not very easy to tell when it is on or off, and since it was day time I could not see that the lights were on.

Why do you have a lights on ?? draining more power from the battery ?

@Hotrodx199 Wow! -15? It was 14 degrees the other day, and 9 degrees a couple weeks ago. When I took this video, it was actually about 28 degrees, but that was the day that it had been about 14 that morning.
