Are farmers the same the world over ...poor income- they say- in conjunction with paying huge prices for capital assets ...including land??
-
the lights on the top of the cab pointing forward, was that an option deere had then or someone put them on?
-
Oh my the comments about the price. You guys are morons. A : if you spend 70k on a tractor money isn't an issue. B: that tractor will continue to rise in appreciation look at the 4020. C: they don't make tractors like that anymore. Obviously none of you guys farm any amount of ground.

I worked for family and neighboring farmers. This allowed me to drive/operate John Deeres, Fords, ford new Hollands, white, internationals, case IH, and CNH. But when i started farming for myself, my first tractor was a john deere. Now i'm up to 5 tractors. 2 john deeres and 3 red ones. My last will be a JD. When it comes to owning a tractor, My favorite is my 1983 JD 4450! It wins based on getting work done, fuel economy, and pleasure to drive. It even beats out the '05 case international mxu 125. Not everything JD is gold. But there is a reason why it takes green to buy green. Do your homework. Be educated. Be smart. Be well informed.

Fun to see red guys melt down ! They never will understand the great value of a John Deere !
-
Good lord! My ole man bought a loaded 4450 back in 1983 for $32,500! Goes to show you if its clean&green it commands money! Watched an 1981 model 2-105 white in the early 90's sell for over 25,000 with only 1100 actual hours cab heat air, duals weights, it was creamy! Again here if its pristine its gonna command money!!!

Buy a CASE Magnum and get twice the tractor. This is just dumb. Takes green to buy green. ;)
-
well all i can say is. that if it was made in the 80s alot of stuff was still made in the us but not every thing. and it must be one hell of a tractor and runs great. so thats my be it was sold for so much and the hours to.
-
Awesome tractor but whoever bought got hosed but a Case Magnum 5 years newer with 5,500 hrs. and a larger nicer cab for half
-
why not buy a caseih magnum for 40,000 then u get a square cab with more room and about the same horsepower and ur getting a lil newer tractor
-
Idiots 70000 dollar for an 4450 old tractor crazy
-
