Machines | John Deere 2954D Loader Logging Recovery
videos | at work | information | view | construction
A hydraulic loader logging machine tipped over in the logging unit we were logging in the Snow Camp area of Humboldt County, California on 8/1/2012. We used a Link Belt excavator, A Cat 325 log loader, and a Hitachi 330 Forester yoder logging loader to upright the beasty John Deere 2954D Forester back onto it's tracks.... without damages! Well.. except for a rusty choker that broke.

Typical loggers, nobody there has an IQ. larger than their hat & shoe size combined !!

once they get flopped over like that you have nothing but problems with it

Nice video Have you got any relatives in northern Aroostook County, Maine because that sounds like a French last name?

oh it isn't flat... camera just makes it look flat... plus the area was excavated in order to recover the machine safely...while handling tree lengths to the truck road a rootwad on a tree got hung up in the fork of standing timber as the machine was swinging it up the hill. the tracks were positioned incorrectly and teh machine flopped over.... Always position your tracks to better stablize the machine before you start handling materials on steep ground.

hey fred.. it wasn't me... I am just helping recover it.
