this video much better than those bird sh**ting instruction video with annoying BGM for juki. now I can hear how home sewing machine sounds in quiet room.
does this machine able to do overlock, and button hole ? -
Questions on the spool holder in back of machine. I see that it has to be installed when you receive the machine with a simple screw. Is the spool holder all metal? Do you have to remove it when the cover is installed or does it push down? Thanks for your informative videos.

OMG. the ruler was incredible.

is this machine you recommend for a beginner for automotive upholstery

hd1000 or hd1800? for sewing vinyl mostly?

For some reason I can't even hand crank it through the leather... My $100 Walmart machine was sewing 6-7oz leather with a lot less effort. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
-
Setting up my HD1000 now... Can't even get it to penetrate thinner leather. Looks like my settings are similar to yours, with a tension of 5 to just above 5... Using the same thread as you are in this video. Thoughts?
-
Do you recall the heaviest weight thread this machine can handle?
-
My jaw dropped when you popped that ruler under there... I need this machine!
-
Does this machine come with a foot for sewing welts for cushions?
-
Please advise, how long do you have this machine? And how often do you use it?
Also, thank you for taking the time to make this video:) -
which do you recommend for sewing leather, the toyota fsr21 or jenome hd1000

Thank you for making this video!

I just went thru a manual for this machine and I didn't find any mention of a way to adjust the width on the utility stitches. That would be a deal killer to me. Too bad- it seemed like such a good all around machine.
-
Thank you...seeing you sew through four layers completely sold me on this machine. Definitely ordering the HD1000.

Thanks for helping me to make up my mind between the Janome HD1000 and the Singer 4432.

as I previously posted on your older video. I am seriously considering getting the HD1000 vs. the HD3000 because you can oil this machine. The HD3000 has the drop in bobbin, but you cannot oil it. You were right when you said this machine is a copy of machines were made the old school way 50 years ago where u could self maintain your machine by it allowing you to take it apart to oil and clean it. Even though I have a Janome Horizon MC8900 (which needs routine tune-ups, cleaning and oiling by the dealer). I want this model as it will last a lifetime and something I can maintain myself. All I need is str8 and zigzag. I kinda wish I could go back and buy this machine only - I would have saved a whole lot of $$$.

Hello,
I need some advice and wondering if you can help me. Just purchased the Janome HD3000 and I’m having problems with my width/length settings. I sew tote/purses and I use faux leather and canvas. Used my machine last night on a tote and had some problems… I got looped thread at the bottom of the fabric, some skipped stiches on top and also a bent needle. Sometimes the needle didn’t want to penetrate the fabric… it was like it was hitting a wall. I’m using the leather needle… heavy duty thread… but I’m a little confused with the settings. I just did a test with 3 layers of faux leather and 2 of canvas at 5 width, the length 3 and changed the tension to 2. No problems… By the way also used the gliding foot… Can you please tell me what I’m doing wrong? Any suggestions? Thanks for your time! -
What kind of thread are you using on the leather? Thanks
