Machines | HUGE Working Dump Truck - Scrap Mechanic Creative Showcase
videos | at work | information | view | construction
In this creative showcase I show off my first real build in Scrap Mechanic. This massive dump truck features body articulation, a working door, two motors and engines, power steering and a dumping bed that actually works! It slightly resembles a haul truck that you would find in a quarry. This beast is ready for any construction project that you want to throw at it! The dump bed is too heavy for the single bearing to lift so I had to add lifter arms in order to get the truck to properly dump. These arms function a bit like pistons or hydraulic arms that help raise the bucket up from it's resting position to a dumping position. I believe this could be one of the biggest trucks Scrap Mechanic can currently handle due to performance restrictions. When off the lift, my computer runs the game at 10 frames per second due to the amount of parts this build took to make. Have a suggestion for something to build? Let me know with a comment! I'm up for a challenge in Scrap Mechanic. I like to try to create things that look realistic and actually function. GAME LINK: http://store.steampowered.com/app/387990/

+DeekFTW I've never ever even see some one make something that big in this game
-
I made a huge one with large ranks as wheels
-
OMG nice and you are good in this you have good brain for this BIG like
-
that thing is sick

So I have a bad computer (4 giga ram and I3) and I run this on it on minimum, and even with the biggest contraptions I don't have frame drops.
Only sometimes when the contraption has like 20 rotators and it crashes. But somthing like this truck doesn't.
Am I lucky or something? -
Try and build a screw driven vehicle.

You're the DJ Khaled of building dump trucks.
"This is really only going to need one engine to drive."
"Another one..."
"Ok...well we can probably get away with only a few connectors to work."
"Another one..."
"...sigh...to save on money we only need to put in-"
"Another one..." -
Yeah, well i really hope they will soon start ti improve the performance.
