How To: Install a Rampage Products Frameless Trail Top This video shows the installation of the Rampage Products Frameless Trail Top on a Jeep TJ Wrangler. The Rampage Products Frameless Trail Tops are Two Tops in One -- Available for Jeep Wranglers 1992 Thru 2006 -- Half Door (1992 - 2006) & Full Door (1997 - 2006 only) The Rampage Frameless Trail Top installs over the original equipment factory roll bar for a snug fit without the need for additional bows or support hardware. This unique design allows for larger side windows and improved visibility with removable side and rear windows that quickly convert the soft top into an open Safari top. Windows use heavy duty molded tooth zippers and are easily replaced or removed and stored in a special separation panel between the ceiling and roof top which is concealed and protects the windows from scratches or puncture. The fastback style offers improved aerodynamics and a quieter ride than factory bow style tops. NOTE: Requires Windshield channel, factory soft top door surrounds and tail gate bar. If the soft top is replacing a hard top application, these parts are required and can be purchased separately. Part Numbers: 109435 - 1992-1995 Jeep Wrangler YJs (comes with new door surrounds and upper half door skins, fits half door models ONLY. His fits so much better than mine, mine is so tight and hard to get on now.

I needed to see how to get the front part off enough to reset the foam piece, but it's holding fast. Any ideas?
-
I know it's frame less was the frame located next to sound bar removed I can't tell in this video thanks

I've had this top for few months. After several attempts I have not been able to put it on without having MASSIVE wind noise in the corners of the windshield. I've read to pull it tight behind the door. I've tightened EVERYTHING. Can you give me any more advice before I give up on this top?

I have full doors, does this product work with them and if so what else do I need to purchase to make them work?
-
You guys need to make a video for the JK installation. Since the top attached differently in the inside and on the outside. would be awesome. Oh BTW love the top..

This set up looks like it take a great deal more work/ time to use instead of the original soft top.

An Abnormally warm Christmas Day in the North East, I decided to gamble and install the frameless soft top on my '01 Jeep. It fought me nearly every step of the way, but I did successfully install it. Truth be told I forgot to install the two support bars up front. I am in no rush to take the top apart to correct that.

On this video is this the sail cloth or just the regular denim black and can I use my factory soft top header panel
-
shit, I just tore my new rampage top. putting it on, is it under some type of warranty. The thing is tight. It was a pain in the ass. I will go back to the original top.

Good luck trying to get this top on if you live in a cold climate. The back window will shrink a good 4 inches and make it impossible to get on.

My 17 year old daughter recently bought her dream car..... a 1994 Jeep Wrangler YJ. It came with no top, and no doors. She has since bought the lower doors, and bought this frameless top. We cannot figure out how to install the door surrounds. After watching this video several times, as well as other "how-to" videos on how to install soft tops and such, it seems as though she will need to order even more parts. Her Jeep has a windshield header channel, so I don't think she needs to order that. On the door surround, there is a place for the windshield pin.... but I don't see anything on her Jeep that would slide into that space. She will also need a tailgate bar. It would be great if there was a video on how to install the door surrounds. The pictures on the installation guide are worthless. The fall weather is coming, and she has a vehicle with no top! Any and all advice for help is welcome!! We don't know where to go to ask for assistance with this. Thanks in advance.

I have a '97 TJ with full doors. Just ordered this top, do I need to order an extra part for the top to tuck into at 3:05? This required the purchase the windshield header, which I did. But it did not mention any additional part for tucking into the doors. Any ideas? thx

You should make a video for the jk install (I would prefer the 2009 version) hot this top and I'm waiting on the header ,but the instructions are not very clear. I'm more of a visual person and video would help thanks
-
OMG that took a long time. I'll stick to the factory ragtop because it's a helluva lot quicker.
-
I got one of these for my yj wasn't to hard to instal on problem I'm having though is it came with the rink cover thing can can't figure out how to install that ?
-
Call rampage and they will send you a new zipper. I had the same thing happen to me.
-
Hey I broke the zip on one of the side panels whilst trying to fit in back panel - do you sell individual sections or am i looking at a whole new roof!
-
Upon installation...I noticed a gap at the front of the top were the top door corner meets the windshield channel. The Foam insert is visible/if it was removed you could see strait through. Is this correct/am I missing something? Other than that - great top so far.

Yes it is! You will want to check the side windows regularly to make sure they are in place but you should be fine. Highway speeds may not treat the windows too well though.
