Machines | How To: Get a Full Bucket of Dirt In A Wheel Loader
videos | at work | information | view | construction
Here is a quick how to video for a beginner on how to get a full bucket of dirt in a wheel loader. The same basic principals apply with skidsteers and track loaders as well. I am in a Cat 918M wheel loader. Like what you see? Check out The Dirt Ninja on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/TheDirtNINJA Be sure to hit the subscribe button to see new videos every week!

in the world world Tire spin like you're doing especially soft material is a no no in the world you keep doing that Tire spin ....you won't have a job... this video is more for 5 year old kids with Tonka toys in the backyard

A set of tires would not last him long in a real work area. I would love to school him in the real world with a crusher chasing him.

Thanks so much mate

Thats a nice machine you have there. Would be a ashame if someone steal it :P
-
thats how yo do it

is this a fucking joke? Any fucking muppet can get a full bucket on a hard floor with a soft stockpile. I want to see you run production loader, on a soft floor. Thats a fkn video.

Good Stuff! Does this loader have the auto bucket features, as in one of your previous videos?
I really enjoy your videos BTW! I've been watching them off and on since I got out of the Army, and started learning how to operate more equipment! -
I always used to click into auto raise and rock it back and forth until it was full, good for beginners though

da hora seu canal...pena que eu não entenda seu idioma kk

I disagree with raising the bucket when your driving into the pile. It's a lot harder on the machine than tilting the bucket back as you drive in.

very good instructional video, I think it is needed and will help the new guys out, one thing i'd like to add. keep your work area level. as in your video when you were demonstrating loading the bucket as soon as the tires slipped you stopped. the new guys starting this will spin the tires like satchbooggy said and if you don't level the area back up it only adds to the problem, load your truck then come back and dress the area a little it will make your day a lot easier. I've seen new guys damn near roll the machine in front of a pile. looking forward to more videos

Wow you talked I never hear you talk in ur vids

Good video. A lot to can be said about getting a full bucket while doing it efficiently.
One of the other big things to avoid that you didn't mention but probably know is to avoid wheel spin. You're just burning up those co$tly tires every time you sit there digging into the pile with the wheels churning away making holes. Caterpillar has recognized this as "rim pull" and even introduced a few new features this year on their M class machines. (I didn't see the optional display in your cab, so probably not ordered with your machine.) Even without the electronics, an operator should be aware and adjust accordingly to avoid it while working the bucket up the pile. Yes, it does take practice to get it right. :-)

Appreciate the how to videos. Thanks

When your teaching newbies, paint lines across the tires in the morning... at end of the day the paint better still be on there or they are spinning off good rubber.. then have another talk with them....

Another tip is to keep working different spots of the pile. I take one scoop from the middle then come in from either side of the first scoop. That narrow windrow the spills out from either side of the bucket is easier to penetrate and get a full load than constantly hitting the same spot

This kind of video could really take your channel to new heights, it's so much more engaging than just watching you work! Thanks for the extra effort in putting something like this together.

I add to my guys to back drag some off the top if its a tall pile and don't spin the tires too much goin in or you have to back out and bunny hop through the ruts. engage 4x4 if equipped to help cut down on the tire spin. and don't roll the bucket back until it bangs hard every time.btw...none of them listen to any of it haha
