cant you still basically have a four point tie down but with 2 chains by putting the long chain through that dedicated chain point on the front of that excavator and running that chain through that point and hooking it on the other side of the trailer
-
MN DOT says only over 10,000 excavators need a boom chain
-
Jesus your wasting energy and your gonna hurt yourself just use ratchet ties down
-
Jesus man, grip the dang cheater Bar. We already saw what happens when the bar goes flying. There's not a whole ton of energy there if you just hold onto the cheater Bar. It's the law that you have wire ties on those binders too. That's what the hole in the handle is for.
-
stay away from snap binders use ratchet binders
-
I could have swore them type of binders where illegal now I use all rachet binders way better keep the machine way tighter and is way safer
-
that kid (i think his name is blane) that was standing over the binder is wearing white shorts lol
-
your way is wrong. chain must hook back onto itself.
-
step one: get rid of those shitty binders and get ratcheting ones.
-
YOUR BUCKET HAVE TO BE FLAT ON YOUR TRAILER WORK A LOT BETTER
-
for the love of God go to the truck stop n buy a real bar for binders.
-
nice job bud...learned a lot from your vids...keep up the good work
-
Great videos!!!! Im just getting into this and your videos are a lot of help. One question I have is: My machine (bobcat 425 mini excavator) has a loop in the center rear. Can I take one chain from one side of the trailer through that loop to the other side of the trailer then put a single binder on it? Is that legal? Is that an acceptable method? Thanks a ton!

You don't chain down the equipment equipment changes you down

CHECK OUT THE RETRACT A STRAP VIDEO IN THE LINK ABOVE.
YOU WILL NEVER HAVE TO WIND A STRAP AGAIN

why not just use webbing 4t tie downs---much safer
-
I run a Low Boy for a living. I don't care if its a small mini like the one in your vid or a Cat 345 I chain everything down with a criss cross four point, plus extras for the attachments or I won't haul it. It may be overkill on some stuff, but if the worst were to happen I know I did what was expected of me, and you are right I've taken a binder to the face/chest more than once and it is not fun! Lol
-
you remind me of Richard Rawlings on gas monkey with those glasses
-
says on binder not to use extension
-
you need a proper winch bar for chain binders it's not illegal to use one chain to do at two points in the trucking industry all you have to do is have to change for a four-point tie down
