Machines | How Much Does a New CDL Truck Driver Make Weekly or Monthly
videos | at work | information | view | construction
http://RedVikingTrucker.com This video for new CDL commercial big rig 18 wheel truck drivers explains how I maximize my driving clock time to get the most hours behind the wheel, versus worrying about detention pay etc. Although I'm new to the business, I already am averaging over 1000 week take home, by focusing on keeping my driving clock available versus staying on duty when I'm held up for any reason at a shipper or receiver. I learned early in this business that focusing your attention on where the most money is made by you is your best bet, not chasing an hourly figure (detention pay only starts after an hour of sitting, and it averages out horribly if you do the math, versus driving and averaging 24 bucks an hour). People thinking about getting into this truck driving business need to use common sense and stay focused on the bigger money per hour, not the smaller stuff. If these videos are helping, please subscribe, like and comment. Thanks for watching

Did ya stop by Awful Arthur's in ole Kill Devil hills? Tell ya what man. I really like your videos man. Classy. I never hear you talking bad about people or particular company's. you were smart and did your homework. My friend I'm doing my homework too. I built houses for ten years on the Outer Banks, did a stretch in the National Guard and now I'm considering driving trucks for a living. Ive gotten my DOT physical and driving permit and I'm starting school in a couple weeks. Your squared away man. Your definitely a professional, and you have great informative videos on your channel. Right now I'm trying to get a list together, of questions I would need to ask recruiters for future Employment. I was a 92f in the guard and I went to Fort Knox and got H7 certified on a M970 in 2012. I found out then and there I have a passion for trucking and I believe I'm going to lean towards tanker- hazmat side of the industry . Before I start school I will have those endorsements if not all even though I don't want to drive doubles or triples you never know if I may need them. "Whatever it Takes" Keep up your videos man your helping a lot of us new guys make the right decisions.

Good video man. I just got my CDL last week. Got a completely clean DMV record besides 1 point for a ticket back in 2011, speeding over 6mph. Paid off. Struggling to find a job and don't wanna go with Swift. I have a pregnant wife and our 4 year old son. Want a regional, local or even dedicated route.

I'm getting my CDL soon, I'm a strive hard for this.

whats your political leanings? libertarian for me, looks like trucking has tons of regulations, taxes...

You should get paid for everything you do when your on the road. Do not work for free! Period!!! Not even one hour. You give up all your home life, ruin your health, your already getting paid minimum wage. Why would you work for free? I have worked in trucking for 30 years and great driving record, and the y want to pay me minimum wage 70 plus hours a week let just say $1000 a week that's minimum wage. Wake up and stop working for free!!! Sorry to be a downer. But the truth always makes people angry. I love truckin! but I'm not doin it for free. Nice video very well done Rock On Brother!!!I will keep my happy ass in Alaska where they pay us to work.

I've considered trucking...still am...but I love working on airplanes and as a structures mechanic working 50-60 hrs/wk, contracting, I'm taking home close to $1,500/wk, only $7.50/hr taxed, the rest per diem & un-taxed. I'll probably stick with what I love, even though aviation maintenance contracting is a fairly un-stable occupation often experiencing layoffs, then it's off to the new contract/location.
