How can you recharge your car’s AC system? The process involves numerous components, including the AC compressor, condenser, dryer, expansion valve, evaporator, and accumulator, which each play a role in cooling air that passes into the cabin. Recharging a car’s AC system which is low on refrigerant is made very simple with AC Pro’s all-in-one kit. The process involves adding refrigerant to the low pressure port until a desired pressure is reached, as described in the video. What if everything is good but it only blows warm air?
-
How often would a recharge be needed...because i never topped up my ac gas and my car is about 8 years old, the ac still blows cold on hot days.......
-
So what he didnt explain which i finally figured out is this: If your ac is REALLY low then your compressor will click on then click back off making the needle jump from below the green then back up to the red. If this happens to you it means your AC is almost completely empty. For the most part 40 psi will be good for any outside temp. If you have the issue I had you know you're doing it right if the compressor stays on the whole time. THE COMPRESSOR SHOULD ALWAYS STAY ON if its full!
-
One thing not mentioned is that you only add the R-134 when the compressor clutch is engaged and spinning. You should stop when the clutch is disengaged otherwise you could overcharge the system.

car ac stinks, what to do?
-
hey guys i have a question. i recharged my system and I'm confused with the readings. i can't see what ac compressor is doing cause it's stuck down low but i have 2 different readouts. one is in green and after compressor clicks it's in red. ac works fine but I'm concerned because it goes in red. should it be in white and green or is it ok like I'm getting, green and red? thaks

surprised how differently aircraft air conditioners work!! no foreign gas at all... just air
-
AC system is a close system right? If the refrigerant gas is low, does it mean there is some leakage somewhere in the AC system? Thanks in advance!
-
So that's how it works 😄
-
What if the system marks high pressure even though it doesn't have refrigerant whatsoever?
-
can we leave the air conditioning switched on when starting a car or is it the other way round? does leaving the AC while starting have an effect on the engine performance?
-
What happens to any moisture that accumulates in the receiver/dryer? Does it just evaporate over time or?

Miles better than the Haggard Garage sponsored video

Ever since fixing my home ac ,I have become obsessed with learning about both vehicles ac's and homes.
Good vid. -
You should change the title to "How all A/C systems work"

I have a 2001 Chevy malibu and the low side port where you connect the can to recharge is in an awkward spot on this car. It's basically an inch back from where the belt is and down lower. I don't know how any person can reach down there to connect the canister while the engine is running without getting your arm caught by the belt
-
is the compressor clutch always engaged when the A/C always on ? or does it disengaged when the temperature inside the car is reached the desirable temperature ?
-
do you keep the car engine turned ON while checking the pressure and refilling or do you have to turn the engine OFF ???
-
I work in the HVAC/R industry and there are very strict rules regarding refrigerants and refrigerant leaks. I'm always curious how these recharge kits are allowed to be sold.

you left out saturation temps, super heat, subcooling sensible heat and the other heat, the evaporator has more heat energy that the condenser. The condenser is a loop coil not header to header.
