how a transfer dump truck works
Comments
-
just started using one of these, what a pain. could haul 25 ton on a tri axel on east coast, now can only haul 24 using a transfer on west coast. Its more work for less weight
-
Yes 25 tons for this truck max
-
looks less than efficient...
-
COOLLLLL !!!
-
why there is already a container on the truck? actually become a container in a container printed .....
-
local judge had picked up a truck similar to this. sans the transfer unit. basically the truck itself. and built a weird pickup lol. if done right, can be done w/o a cdl. anyhoo that's another story. you are correct on the cdl part. I will have to admit, ive not seen these before, and I was very impressed. the driver knew his truck and knew what to do. im pretty sure youll do likewise :) best of luck my friend :)

I think it's electric
-
How does the trailer box move to the tractor? Is it hydraulic or winch line?
-
So this is gay sex then?
-
You running a Hydraulic or Electric transfer?
-
probably gave it a nudge to ensure that the catches engage to allow the trailer box to slide without pushing the trailer from under the box, and so dumping the box on the floor behind the dump truck!
-
If you dump the bags itll slide in like butter.

@AnubisEvalyna AGREEED

@dnrink44 A Class A CDL is required for transfers as it weighs over 26,000 pounds. I am Going to start driving a transfer in July myself

@mannwhosoldtheworld Ow wait sry, didn't watch the video this time, your not attaching the trailer at all. Forget what I said. Didn't watch the video before I posted that.
-
@mannwhosoldtheworld Yeah I'm a truck driver. I'm not sure how to say it in English. It's like this one, but the trailer doesn't have a steering axle at the front. Euhm, the 2 wheels of the trailer are in the middle. I'm sorry I don't know the english name for them. But anyway, I didn't mean to say it was bad. I know it always looks a bit rough. I'm just saying, I'm always a bit more carefull, do it a little slower. But my trailer is probably more easy to attach. Peace man
-
did he push it
-
@AnubisEvalyna Not sure if you drive trucks at all, but that wasn't very rough. The clutch is touchy in these when you are trying to put torque into it, in this case he was backing into the devices which line the truck to the trailer, so it looked rough, but really it wasn't bad. Same kind of reaction occurs when coupling a trailer if you don't drop the air suspension (most drivers dont).
-
He's a bit too rough driving against that trailer. =/ It's all a bit too expensive to be careless with.
Gotta LOVE YouTube! They have videos on just about EVERYTHING!
