with your spawning area in the creeper farm being 2 blocks wide, wouldn't that allow spiders to spawn in there also?

Something that might improve your farm a lot is to make a mobfarm/mobcrusher.
Why, because you can get 50 mobs and than bring them to half a heart (crusher is probably smart because of armor) and get all the heads of them. Making every creeper more effective. -
I have been waiting to see this! I have heard talk of your build, just subbed your channel. I solved the creeper generation problem in a accidental way (height based filter) a few weeks ago and just got my first mob head last night! I'm excited to see how your filter works. cheers!

your charged creeper farms are the best cub... I have a couple of suggestions...
1) fence gates with buttons instead of trap doors to release the creepers once they're charged
2) instead of the massive amounts of water streams that you have you could just drop them all into one big pool below with a water elevator to bring them up one by one and use fence gates again to release them....
3) once your farm is full why not put more than one creeper in each spot and then increase your efficiency :) -
