This snowstorm hit in late March on the last week of our snow plowing season. It was getting warmer which made the snow very heavy and very slippery. The snow would pack hard and almost turned to ice the second you drove on it. Every time you tied to make a right turn the truck would just push straight ahead, then you would have to go back and forth to clear the snow from the intersections. My route normally takes me about 3 to 3.5 hours to plow but on this particular day took me about eight hours before I was shoved in the ditch. I only had about one mile of road to plow to complete my route for the day and the season. The road was covered in hard packed snow from traffic driving on it all day and just got to be too heavy for the truck and because of the angle of the plow just shoved me across the road and into the ditch. I was just glad no cars were coming towards me when it happened. In all the department had about 12 tow calls that day.
