Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka, today on a tour of the Foton Lovol International Heavy industry; a manufacturing company for heavy duty farming machinery, expressed his admiration for the entire assembly process as well as the quality of their finished products which include: tractors, combine harvesters among others. In a meeting with the directors of the company in Weifang City of Shandong Province in China Mr. Musyoka commended the company for the progress they have made. The Vice President advised the directors of Lovol Company to be prepared as they make their maiden visit to Kenya in a month's time for urgent and spontaneous decisions on investments in Kenya. He said the company should consider putting up an assembly plant in the East Africa, which as of July 2010 became a common market with a possible consumer population of over 120 million. Mr. Musyoka said that the East African Community has a potential of boosting business in the region in favour of both the Chinese and the East Africans. This he said will increase food production and create employment, a step forward in ridding the region of poverty and hunger two of the biggest challenges in Africa.
