Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel inaugurated the three-day Agri Asia-2015 Global Exhibition at Mahatma Mandir here today. Nearly 200 exhibitors from different states of India, besides experts from ten countries like Israel, Italy, Holland and Korea are showcasing and selling their products and services in the show. Speaking on the occasion, she said that farmers of the state are capable of adopting the latest research in agriculture and advanced farming methods. With optimum utilization of farm inputs and water, new crop pattern and farm implements, she said the farmers could usher in revolutionary changes in the farm sector. Mrs. Patel appealed to the farmers and particularly the young one to learn the new methods and techniques from the exhibits at the global exhibition and apply the same in the fields for maximizing farm outputs. She launched the bio fertilizer products at the Gujarat Agro Industries Corporation stall. She also held separate meetings with the delegations from Holland and Germany to increase the productivity of potato and developments at the Seed Valley. The Chief Minister was accompanied by Agriculture Minister Babubhai Bokhiria, Ministers of State Jashabhai Barad and Govindbhai Patel and senior government officers. They went round the stalls, evincing keen interest in the exhibits.
