What happens if the air brake pressure was higher then 100psi when you start the truck?
-
I like the way this guy explains things slowly and clearly. Most people watching are new to trucking and can easily get lost.

Please READ before you give your opinion. This is a SNAPSHOT of a full video that we use at our school. It is not the full version of the video but thanks for watching. You are welcome to visit our school and we will teach you what you need to know about the Pre-Trip Inspection. -
I love how a lot of these pretrip inspection videos are like 5-15 mins long when really u log 30mins worth of inspection time! this guy didn't even look under the hood to make sure there was oil and full fluids! lets just say he skipped the whole circle check. what if the belt was broken or u had exposed wires and didn't see it???? fire hazard??? terrible "PRE-TRIP INPECTION"

snapshot of a complete inspection video is what your video should be called. but then you know that no one would watch it. My search continues.

Aghhhh love the old Internaitonal "Delivery Trucks" the 8100 Series. We run alot of them still from the 90's and early 2000's.

Well, ultimately, your husband should have studied from multiple resources. It is called doing research. Research a product before you buy and ensure that the material being covered in lets say, a DVD, textbook, etc. is current.

@MsLacimae He's dumb..

@sideslide23 Whoa driver! First, what is the $4000 for? What do you mean "pay the full price"? What written test? Are you saying you do NOT have a Class A license? You sure have ME confused! You need to clarify.
-
@sideslide23 What do you mean "SWIFT are asking $4000 to get in"? What is the $4000 for? And what you do mean "get a a bid off" of CR England? Are you saying you are not driving now?
-
@sideslide23 In case you STILL do not know. . . . . . . . . . . . .unless you have really good contacts in a "local" company WHEREVER you are, you will have to apply to an OTR company to drive because local companies have big insurance considerations to deal with. I attended Western Pacific Truck School in Fresno Ca, passed all written tests the first time, passed all skills tests the first time, graduated from the trucking school and went to work for SWIFT Transportation. Good company! :)

@MsLacimae Again the video is a training tool. We are all responsible for the specific vehicle we are using during the drive test. That being said, the specifics mentioned for the vehicle in use during this video with regards to the Air System check, the In-Cab, and the Walk-Around inspections are accurate. we use this same inspection on a daily basis to prepare our students for the drive test and they are successful.
-
@MsLacimae We produced the video as a guide for our students. No information mentioned in the video for the vehicle being used is incorrect or inaccurate. Every trainee must be familiar with the vehicle being used for the drive test as it may vary from the vehicle in the video. That being said, all the steps in the Air Brake test, all the major components in the In-Cab, and Walk-Around Inspections are necessary and mandatory requirements in order to perform a basic CDL inspection.
-
Please provide specifics. The video is a training tool. All of the specifics mentioned in the video are currently being used by our instructors. We periodically review the information to make sure that it is up to the current safety and regulatory standards.

@PeefoDaftronic You have one hell of a nerve making such a remark. Unless you can prove hat you said, KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT

@pocockvet it s most likely the parking brake..which pushes the air out of the brake chamber and make a loud noise
