Gasoline Vs Diesel - 4 Major Differences. What's the difference between gasoline and diesel engines? Gasoline engines attempt to keep the compression ratio so that the air-fuel mixture does not rise above the self-ignition temperature. Diesel engines on the other hand use higher compression ratios, leading to more torque and better fuel economy. Diesel engines typically do not have throttles, and they have much larger operating air-fuel ratios. How each of these systems perform engine braking is also very different, especially the "jake brake" used by larger diesel engines. In a video maybe I have a 2013 ram 6.7 and my cousin has a 2005 5.9 both stock trucks his with no emissions mine with all that crap and he gets 8 miles per gallon more then I do. Thanks and awesome videos so glad I found this channel. And no I don't have a lead foot I try to drive conservative with this truck it's not a sports car

Hello, can you make explanations on the myths about combustion engine exhaust backpressure and the correct way to measure/implement it? I have seen first hand the difference of a bottlenecked, fully open and correct exhaust system and I'm surprised to say that even on fully open the engine seems to lose some power on WOT. Is it true that atmospheric gas can also put restriction on a 'wrong' fully open exhaust port? Tested it on the same four-stroke type.

why are you calling a liquid, Gas?
-
PETROL! damn you americans with GAS'oline

Learned more about engines in 9 minutes than my entire time at school. Thanks for explanation. Keep up the good work :)
-
can you make a video explaining diesel emission system
-
Why do petrol cars stall more frequently than diesel cars?
-
his personal pronouns make me want to build my own engine
-
very good explanation .
one thing i missed was why the air is getting hotter on the compressionstroke. and i think u know the answer as much as do so. -
no mention about glowplugs?
-
Excellent explanation. Thank you so much.

A diesel generator is probably a much better long-term investment than a petrol one then, I guess...

Can you make a video about should you buy a gas or diesel vehicle?

Okay so lets get a car of same brand, But two different engines. Audi Q7 4.2 TDI and Audi Q7 4.2 FSI, Which one would be faster to 100 kmph from 0 kmph? Also, Which one will have more power? Please comment, m planning on getting a used one.
Wouldn't you need an electronic camshaft for that?
