Whoa they let the air out.
-
+50% fuel
-
any car/truck can do this flat the tire to 10 psi lol
-
Central tire pressure control has been around since the 1930s (or 40s).
-
on board air and bead lock rims ? WOW Gee Whiz, what a concept
-
Soo.. Letting air out of your tire makes it a track now.... Right....
-
Before some fool like J6228 says it's not a waste, then think again because it's obviously a WASTE, as all processes take time, energy and of course money!
-
lets see the real thing not a carton
-
шта?
-
Y el 'sonido ?
Nos hemos convertido en sordo ?
:( -
if you pump it up again with an build in compressor it would be new (or not?)
-
When is this 'dream' going to be turned into reality, Shoo4639?
Has even a prototype been made?
How do you prevent the squashy rim and tyre 'winding up' into a knot around the hub when any torque is applied, -such as during ploughing? -
Some people must think all tires are constructed the same. The tires will have to have an internal molded structure to hold it together and without allowing lateral buckling/folding or twisting up on itself from torque at low pressures. Tire beads can use clamp rings like we use for rock climbing and mud tires and heavy equipment that are run at very low pressure to keep them secured to the wheel. I doubt they or the owners will be worried about wear on the equipment drive train, that is what gear reduction is for and fuel and time will be weighed against otherwise downtime when a standard tire can't work in conditions and the soil impact difference.
-
so basically its the same thing as letting air out of your tires and then reinflating them? Maybe I'm missing something here....
-
In answer to Dave Berry. How much fuel will it waste when its bogged down spinning its wheels achieving zero if not in track mode , with this system as soon as your out the mire, you re-inflate and resume normal economical operation
-
The concept is there. But Ill just let some more air out of my tires.
-
fuel ???
-
the thing that will make this ideal fail completely is that it will take more energy to move that tire when its in track mode, in other words the motor will work harder, use more fuel, and more than likely shorten engine life because a motor that works harder runs hotter
The govt mandate of 10% alcohol blended in our gas destroys fuel economy. Thanks so much US Govt for SCREWING ME and all of us AGAIN.
