A forestry mulcher on a CAT 299D skid steer clearing along the side of one of the fields on our farm. The unit does a fantastic job. All brush and trees are cleared down to ground level (removes stumps but not the roots) and all that remains are wood chips. The unit can clear an overgrown pasture, for instance, for site preparation to plant trees, or it can selectively clear trees in a forest to give you a park-like appearance or to allow the remaining trees to grow for lumber.
