I have a 2004 Mitsubishi galant and I went to start it and it made a thumping sound that sounded like my belt had broke but all my belts are fine and shortly after that it wouldn't start at all. it turns over but didn't start. it's not my fuel pump or fuse and not the timing belt. what could it be?

Scotty, What did you pull out to spray the starter fluid in? I have a 2004 Ford Taurus (24 valve V6) and yesterday it was fine and tonight I tried to start and all it would do is crank. The only environmental differences from yesterday it is 24 outside today and nighttime and the headlights automatically turn on when you open the door. It was 40 degrees and daylight yesterday. Is there a chance that the temperature differential caused this problem? I cranked it and waiting, checked for loose wires and cranked it again and the battery power was getting lower due to cranking ... about 15 seconds or so each time.

I have an 06 Ford Fusion and it starts everyday until it gets the slightest bit cold outside. The car cranks and the starter engages, but it has a very hard time starting or doesn't start at all in the winter months. I just had the battery replaced. Could it be the spark plugs or the starter? I am very confused and frustrated on how it starts fine when it's warm but refuses to start when cold. Please help and thank you

hey Scotty, I just changed the water pump and timing belt in my 96 subaru legacy. I turned the engine in twice after putting it all back together and the tachometer went up to 2k rpm, then evened out. When I went to turn it on a third time it no longer wanted to turn over. Any idea what it could be?

my toyota starts after a lit bit crancking for 5 sec in the morning or whe i dont drive for a while but it starts easily again . what is that about? is it the battery or just takes time to fuel goes to engin?
