Is it using HTML5? It's not mentioned in the video.

That map screen looks like absolute shit
-
So much futuristic tools, but you still have shitty music lol black eyed peas are you serious

I don't Apple has perfected their system, it's still in Beta, and besides if you look on Edmunds you will see 49 auto manufacturers listed. So 12 car makers isn't even 25% of the total. You are missing the point of what QNX is: It is a mobile computing platform. Lets say you are running late for work, you can have your Twitter and email on your dashboard, or you can use Skype to send a video message if you are stuck in a traffic jam at a stand still.
-
This is going to cause a lot of accidents as peeps 9not me) will be too distracted and will try to call people (not me) from their car phone or answer emails (not me) and the reason I say that is I see women driving down the road farding (that means putting on makeup ) and they are always yakking at someone on their phone because they are scary important, so I'm just sayin' that with a new technology like this, a spike in accidents is expected to follow.
-
Only thing that confuses me, is if Apple has just signed up 12 auto-makers to their iPhone integrated system, how does QNX car fit in? Have they essentially lost most of their potential customers to Apple?
-
QNX will be available in all vehicles. And it will be available to download for ANY phone, just wipe your Apple or Samsung clean and install QNX. It's not just a phone, it's a mobile computing platform.
-
Yep, QNX was developed to run all Blackberry devices, that is why Blackberry took so long, it's a completely new operating System built from the ground up. And, regardless of what type of phone you have = Apple or Samsung - you can wipe your phone clean and download and install QNX! Yep, QNX is the BEST Operating System, i.e. the most secure, that's why the Department of Defense has given its approval for the 470,000 DoD employees who bring Blackberrys to work.

Folks, QNX was bought by Blackberry and QNX runs in high speed trains in Germany and France. It also works every MRI machines in hospital. It's been described as un-crashable, you can only stop it with a bullet. It's currently in GMs, Hondas, Toyotas, Jeeps, and Bentleys. It's also utilized in the aerospace and defense industries. It is also the basis for BES 10 which of course is in Blackberrys. And, YOU CAN DOWNLOAD BES 10 to WHATEVER PHONE YOU OWN!! Apple, Google, ANY PHONE!
-
And all this technology is in the new BlackBerry phones. Best purchase BlackBerry could of ever bought. Thank you QNX.

Steve Holt!

Hes an alien, he has no ear lobes.
-
Have you developed an application? Once you get started with a given toolset, you dont want to change to something else. Thats too much effort, which is wasted.
-
While I was excited to see this demo, and the potential to be able to develop an IVI system myself, I was Greatly disappointed after I talked with a QNX sales rep about the pricing for QNX ($10k for 1 developer license PLUS royalties for each system sold?!). For me, wuth a development team of 2) this is what I call Unobtanium.
-
you need to teach your computer how to say the word "BEEP" !!!
-
cool he is in kanata
-
Will this be integrated in BB10 Playbook or Smartphones ? Or at least Light version of QNX car which includes Navigation, Multimedia, Phone and Bluetooth
-
Great job, Sheridan. And the interface looks very easy to use.
-
Does this guy have a ear ring? WTF?
-
I'm so glad. Now I can sleep.
