I my also tell people that to look in aerospace industry magazines. F1 teams will always take someone who works in aerospace engineering rather than a car workshop. Its the discipline, precision and caliber of people who work in aerospace that will have a very good chance of getting a career in F1; after all, F1 cars are like aircraft.
Good luck -
I wanna be one of them.. :)

I am a TIG welder. I work for a very successful company. Has for some time been following the internet, how individuals weld f1 exhausts, and to be honest I am disappointed. I am convinced that I have not seen everything, but I saw a lot..! i now a lot about exhaust... sorry for my english...

0:47 "It is important that we have the right fit of personality", "we are looking for dedicated, passionate young people who will work hard and contribute to our successes", "AND THEY HAVE TO BE WHITE".

Lets be honest, there are too many people having wrong job, wrong passion with good grades. This include me, I wanted to be this kind of engineer ever since young with burning passion in this field but there is no such opportunity in the place I living now. So I have been driven to other engineering field which I don't like and I only get decent grades. So to those lucky people get the job like in the video, mark my words, don't cock it up!

Hmm… I wonder if any F1 team is looking for an undergraduate with a perfect GPA; specializing in Neurobiology… The biggest mistake I ever made was entering the life sciences, I should have applied for engineering D:

How to get a job in Formula 1? simple, have a bottomless bag full of cash,oh and if you're a teenage russian who cant reach the paddles that would be an extra as well...
-
good luck steven. you've already got what the best F1 engineers have...a passion for it. be sure to send some vip tickets when you make it. Spa would be nice!

I can say the exact same thing about me always feel like theres something missing

I'm wondering if they help people with passion who learned everything on their own but without any university studies related to motorsport to help get into motorsport. It would be fantastic! I could practice analyzing telemetry on real cars instead of simracing cars. I do believe one day I'll get into a racing team.
-
I would love to go there, but I have no money
-
I might be there soon!!! I think I can contribute with some good ideas...

I'm mechanicly practical but I don't want to go to university. Will you give me a job?
-
Yes. It's a job, and as a job they take qualified people of any path.

Look at it like this. If you have a doctorate in Mechanical/Computer Engineering, the world kind of opens up to you. The issue with this is that Engineering is a COMPETITIVE FIELD (I hold a BAS in CE). The skills you learn in college is like the man said. Theory, until applied, you can EXPLAIN it but not do it. So if a man with a PHD and you with a BAS come in and the man with the PHD has no experience, on paper, you would look better if you had actual application of theory.

To win championships in F1 you have to you need to have money, skill, luck and the best car. Even a mediocore diver in the best car won't win the championship. There is no taxi driver anywhere that would be anywhere near as good a grand prix driver as Vettel that takes years of practice driving race cars.
