I know a long time IH Mechanic who admitted to seeing an H IN FIELD TESTS ONCE THAT HAD A REGULAR TORQUE CONVERTER AND WHEN PULLED DOWN TOO FAR IT WOULD DOWNSHIFT ITSELF INTO LOW.I believe he said you had to shift into high again manually though.He also admitted to seeing an MTA with wet clutch and brakes.
