This engineering survey by Underhill Geomatics - http://underhill.ca/land-surveying-service/5/engineering-surveys - used 3D laser scanning to capture data for an as-built plan. The survey was completed in a single afternoon in the fall of 2012. A 3D laser scan was performed at Neptune Bulk Terminals Canada, in North Vancouver, who will be retrofitting some structures and designing a new interior wall to facilitate additional rail lines on the top of the tunnel. The laser survey was integrated directly into the on-site project coordinate system for use by all consultants.
