Machines | Electric Car - Explained
videos | at work | information | view | construction
How do electric cars work? What is an electric car? Electric cars use electric motors to power the vehicle, rather than an internal combustion engine. The result is a vehicle that produces no emissions, requires little maintenance, and is extremely cheap to recharge. With advances in lithium ion batteries, electric cars are becoming more and more popular. -- Related Videos -- Electric Motors: http://youtu.be/ErV5lGVso1w Magnets: http://youtu.be/7nhmJPMi4FU Electromagnets: http://youtu.be/1YSjRrijsRg DC Motors: http://youtu.be/kTkqbcesf10 Drive By Wire: http://youtu.be/Pgln9L5Y7sQ Please feel free to rate, comment, and subscribe! Actually my Ford Focus electric is $22000 new because of incentives and has a 100 mile range, we drive ours all day and can't use up the charge and if you ever could drive the 100 miles you can go to Walmart and top up in about 1 hour max for $1.50 we park our gas guzzlers for the long trips we take about twice a year but are considering just renting a car for those times to save depreciation, insurance license fees etc etc. And the end of this tax year I will get a tax rebate for a zero emission car purchase but as this is our 1st year I don't know how much. This is a win win situation .

Thanks for you explanation

I've always wondered why we continue to use hydraulic brakes when laser reactive brakes or even just electric voltage applied to a calipereque device would suffice.

Good Video. What will happen if one of electric motor is not working
-
DC motors are basic physics, it is the current present in the coils that effect the speed not the voltage

Couldn't we put solar panels on the roof of the car and connect it to the battery to give it a little longer lifespan when driving?
-
which motor would be suitable for electric cars?? 1 wud say dc- bcz that way the controller may not require a converter, but ac wud allow more flexible control right and speed range too..

There is a global conspiracy among car makers and oil companies to stop this emerging trend, what say you?
