Video of a dump truck that failed to stop at the red light at Bee Ridge Road and US 41. The dump truck was approximately 50 feet in front of the stop bar when the light turned red. More information from the Sarasota Police Department: · The yellow change interval was lengthened at this intersection in November 2013 to meet FDOT requirements · The van traveling north entered the intersection legally on a solid green light attempting to turn left · After the light began to turn yellow the van began to turn left to clear the intersection · The dump truck was not speeding. The red light camera captured the speed at 41 mph.
