I understand that you dont understand, but gravel, dirt, whathaveyou will freeze to the box in freezing conditions, and even more so when its cold and humid. So, this is quite a normal thing. Usually you can add, as others have said, salt, or calcium, or some biodegradable substance to keep the load from sticking. Back in the day, and even today still, sometimes diesel and coolant is used, but its damaging to the environment.

I swear to god genius. If the dump truck doesnt dump, then its failed at its job.

this happens to me 2 or 3 times a day at work. Sucks why then don't tell you that you are moving wet clay.

use calcium or salt or coolant..

in Detroit we used liquid calcium chloride. pump up a garden sprayer with this stuff and spray the box to keep the loads from sticking,, or throw rock salt in the box,,
