This is what I do when I'm not working on sleds, I make roads, cut tress and skid them to the mill, check out my chainsaws, plow truck, track loader (dozer) and more!

Sir, logging of any kind is extremely dangerous. Please don't work without someone with you at all times. You could get hurt once, and unless someone is there to help you, you could die. That ain't good.

I am a little wierded out here...crazy similarities with my place. I live on a 100 acre bush lot, have a case 450C track loader, an old Chevy 1-ton dually dump truck, a tractor with a skidder winch, a portable saw mill, several old dirt bikes, and a couple of ATVs. I have a full time job that has let me pay for it all. I spend the little spare time I have out in the bush cutting trails, and milling lumber just for fun and the satisfaction of it all. Oh yeah, I have an old Elan and a couple of other sleds to ride through my trails in the winter...weird! I enjoy the vids...thanks.

why do you cut so high, that leaves high stumps that you have to go back and cut later

My wife's uncle was about 20 kms in the woods by his self cutting wood for his camp and one of the trees he cut had a big branch with a curve and when he cut it the branch had enough energy built up it sprung back and broke his ankle. Luckily that was all that happened and he made it out all right with a lot of pain but learned a lesson for sure.

Louie another great video glad to see nothing goes to waste from your property, I do have a question what do you guys use to heat your homes and building in Canada outdoor wood boilers if so did you build your own or buy and what brand do you like? Any info would be great I'm using a Heatmaster 5000E for my heating needs. A future video would be great.
