Machines | Double Barrel Chinese 12 Gauge Shotgun - JW-2000 Coach gun review

http://www.personaldfence.com http://www.facebook.com/personaldfence I bought this shotgun because I was looking to get some cowboy action shooting style firearms. I have been wanting a Ruger Vaquero for so long now. I was looking for a hammerless double barrel but when I saw this and then saw the price. There was no way I could pass it up. Overall Im pretty happy with it. The wood is amazing and the quality of the firearm isnt horrible, but its definitely not that great. It hasnt given me any problems at all so I think for the money this is a great "bang for your buck". I wish I could find a chinese single action revolver. I would give that a try in a heartbeat.

I got one thats got a 9 inch barrel chambered in 3 inch. COwboy action does not allow spring ejected coachguns. Mod choke? Never heard of half choke. I bet both are pipes, like my stubby. Nice job on the review.

I have this gun. The shells get stuck in the barrel after i shoot it. I have to take it apart and knock the shells loose with a ram rod. >:(

Extractor, NOT ejector...just like Stoeger.

Had mine a couple of years now, and I still love it. About the best $250 I ever spent.Donnie D

What's with the lame dislikes?
-
the Russians and Chinese are excellent at building firearms
-
it's a mono bloc seam, not weak at all.
-
Mans not to knowledgeable, extractors don't eject and the seam he's worried about is the monoblock where the barrels are silver brazed to the receiver.

Nice!

I haven't read any comments, so my comment may be one of thousands. That "ejector" loose on the barrels is actually a "Extractor" it is intended to raise the shells so that you can save them, for reloading, maybe..

I got one of these a few years back. I think I got less than ten shots before it refused to shoot any more. I took it back to the store and the in-house gunsmith opened it up and all kinds of machining grit and shavings came out - even blued! The store just gave me a refund, apologized for my inconvenience and returned their remaining inventory to the distributor. They said mine was their first sale and their last. That was maybe eight years ago so if they are still around then I assume the quality control is better now.

I bought one new for 275.00,I like th gun,but th hammer's can depress onto th firing pin with hardly any pressure on them.I use mine for rabbit huntin and th full choke barrel will reach out and roll a bunny at a good 60 to 70 yrds, th mod. barrel opens opens up really good for close shots and is very good for quale . just to see what would happen I put a low brass shell in th m barrel and holding it firmly and pointed AWAY from me I bumped th rt. hammer against th edge of my shootin bench,,,,,BANG ! yep it went off,,,SO if you have one of ol z z's coach guns be carful how ya handle it and try not to trip and fall with it. I still hunt with it,tho I always am very cautious with it,,,my beagles always bring th rabbit around to me so I don't really do a whole lot of walkin . happy huntin/shootin ya'll ! ol spudwrench

Mine is a 12 gauge and I've shot 28 gauge shells and .410 shells thru it using 12 gauge barrel adapters that I bought from Amazon and had a great time skeet shooting this summer. It's about as authentic to the old time western shotguns as you can get. Also, even with the short 20" barrels, it's a heavy gun, personally the weight doesn't bother me but both my wife and daughter complained about how heavy it was at the skeet range.

a piece of junk . had one fall apart when i shot it.

I just got my JW 2000 a week ago. JGSales has them for $259.00 (put coach gun in their search engine). I'm pretty impressed, great gun for the money. I keep mine beside me when I sleep. IMO it's a good home defense gun.
I keep mine loaded with OO Buck in both barrels. I put a sling on mine I got from Bushmaster for $12 and a elastic shell holder that wraps around the buttstock, that was $2.56 from Cheaper Than Dirt.
I'm very happy with the gun. -
Right barrel
-
So u can shoot slugs out of this gun as long as it's out of the right battalion
-
What's the barrel length on that?
