Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy was fully revealed at the Playstation Experience, and after looking at some gameplay, I realised they actually made the game A LOT harder! Check out how! I'd really appreciate it if you left a like and subscribed! http://bit.ly/TealSubscribe Twitter - https://twitter.com/Tealgamemaster Twitch - http://www.twitch.tv/Tealgamemaster Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/Tealgamemaster

I thought that Schlippery Chimp was always easy when you were not going for 100%
-
That song in the background..... the hardest level in Crash Bandicoot, the one and only, Slippery Climb. Bruhh, if they added the cut level from the first game Stormy Ascent, I can only imagine how much more difficult it'll get to beat the Time Trials or hell, to even beat the whole game and get 100%.
-
To be honest I never beat crash 1 I've beaten crash 2 (crystals only) and crash three (125% just recently) as a kid I was just happy playing crash.
-
I talked to a few people who actually played the demo; you can die and still get the Gem, but yes, bonus level crates count for the main level, so certain levels are gonna have harder Gems. Some of the bigger worries I can foresee to this: Rolling Stones (has a Tawna & Brio round), The Lost City (Tawna & Brio), Sunset Vista (Tawna & Cortex), Heavy Machinery (Tawna & Brio), and Jaws of Darkness (Tawna & Cortex).
And I doubt the Relics are just gonna be there for show; I dunno what they'll be used for, but if I had to guess, I'd think they'd be used in conjunction with the Cortex keys to unlock Whole Hog & Fumbling in the Dark, and just maybe even Stormy Ascent. -
I went for 100% on all 3 and will do the same for this one, hopefully there will be a platinum for each game 😸
Slippery climb was soooo hard to get the gem on... and it was a red gem so u need it to get some other gems too, road to nowhere was also annoying cuz of the pig that runs back and forth... and one similar to it that came after was harder >.> -
This just pumped my blood to get it on first day.

I know how to satisfy everyone. The remake should have a Normal and a Hard mode. Normal mode plays like 2 and 3 (you can die and still get a gem) and Hard mode is like the original Crash 1 (one death, no gem, try again from the start). That way Crash 2 and 3 are as hard as the original Crash 1 if you want them to be, or Crash 1 can be easier like 2 and 3. I would love this because I felt awesome trying to beat insanely hard levels like Sunset Vista without dying. If the remakes take that away too much challenge would be lost. And that could add a lot of difficulty to 2 and 3 which are easy games to 100% anyway. Imagine beating Tomb Wader or Gone Tomorrow wih only one life with no save states and no bullshit. Save states are for RPGs, not platformers. Checkpoints are ok if you want them, but save states are BS.

Even though Crash 1 is the hardest of the trilogy I like this. I want Crash to be as hard as possible because if it's the same thing all over again it will get old quickly. I hope Crash 2 and 3 also get harder in the remake, they simply have to do that or else Crash 1 will be WAY harder than them and that will be unbalanced. Hope all 3 are hard as fuck this time around, because the originals are only hard the first time you beat them, then they become too easy and quick to replay through.

I love this mostly cause this is for the 90s Babies like myself glad to see some more challenge :)
-
The clincher for me is how many attempts do you get at the bonus stages? If we get unlimited gos and do not have to do everything in one shot I say bring on the challenge make it as hard as possible. If its still like Crash 1 and you get one life making checkpoints useless and you have to do the bonus rooms then that fixes nothing. Id hope theyd be smarter than that so I doubt thats the case.
-
I'm wondering if the bonus levels are still accessed the same way though. Do you still need to collect 3 icons or will there be a '?' platform like in CB2 & 3?
Also I wonder if they'll include the cut Stormy Ascent level from the original game. -
Challenge Accepted

what platforms is it coming out on cus the only current gen things I have are a PSVita and a custom PC
-
Nope, the original was Unjust, punishingly and impossibly hard, aside the challenge in levels, there's a lot of factor that make the game as hard as i said, the factors are:
-To get a gem you have to crush every box without dying.
-Bonus Levels are very hard and you have only one try, if fall, you have to restart the entire level.
-You can only save your progress when you get a gem o when you clear a bonus level, and we already know how hard is to achieve that.
-It doesn't matter how many lives you have collected in your playthrough, it won't be saved on your progress, every time you load your save data you will always start with 4 lives. -
god damn I'm so hyped for this. It looks so insanely faithful, so beautiful and there's so much potential for them to add so much great stuff to the trilogy.
-
the gems are easier because you can try the bonus stages unlimitedly. but fuck time trialing slippery climb. getting the platinum relic on that is going to be so fucking hard
-
Crash Bandicoot 1 harder oh no? It was hard enough as it was without no save system so what no problem as Kuzco in Emperors New Groove once said Bring it on I'm looking forward to it maybe not so much slippery climb though or sunset vista so much.
-
I can only pray Sunset Vista won't be made harder than it already is
-
I cant wait to see 100% speed runs of this game.
-
Challenge Accepted. I will 100% all three of these remastered masterpieces.
