At the Flying J in Limon Colorado, helped another driver out when his trailer dropped through the asphalt. Common problem, easy fix when you have ramps. Wish more truckers would be willing to help someone regardless of the company they work for. Great job man!!
-
that is why you never drop a trailer on asphalt thin he never told any of the owners he destroid the parking lot

Well done RT, old school . You might need a hand tomorrow . It's how it should be.
-
old video but glad I stumbled on it. Thanks for helping this guy out and saving him a wrecker bill. Too many vid's on here of guys laughing at drivers in a bind instead of helping them. I've done it several times and I agree with you. I don't understand why companies don't have dump valves on the trucks. Carry a couple of 2x4's and 4x4''s. Dump your bags and back the frame under the nose. Lift it up and crank the gear. Dump the bags again and put the wood on the frame and lift the trailer up and crank down the gear some more. Rinse and repeat until you can get back under it.
-
I would've just dropped my bags and got under it, that's way too much work for nothing running back and forth, and don't say it'll blow a bag cause the air will be out and once the trailer rest on the frame air the bags back up and hook to it.

good karma. I've only been driving for a few years but always willing to help a new driver if need be. even though we work for different companies we're all on the same mission
-
Nice job,classy recovery!
-
Your a good Dude!

This is what I like to see. Used to be a brotherhood. now it's rare to to see one helping another.
-
awesome job man helping that guy out taking your time we more helpful drivers on the road again for sharing.
-
The driver you helped seemed more concerned with his damn cell phone than the situation he was in.

I think helping out is great. And more drivers need to take note. But, did anyone have the courtesy to call the towing company to let them know to disregard the call? You know, they have a business to run also, and chasing ghost calls due to good Samaritans doesn't pay the bills.

Hey Renegade Trucker .......... Thanks for being a good guy! So many of the videos on YouTube are of guys who have been around a while and know what they're doing, standing back, watching, laughing at, and bad mouthing other drivers (usually newer driver's) and talking about how great they are. YOU sir, didn't talk about how great you are. Instead you took YOUR time to actually help another guy out. You didn't bad mouth him even once. I'm a trucker too and I know (we should all know) that sometimes shit happens. Sometimes, even the best of us, can use a helping hand NOT critical commentary and an abusive attitude. Thank you for being better than that and proving that you really ARE that good and not just talking about it. What goes around comes around, and the next time you need a hand I hope there's another good guy out there who'll be willing and ready to take the time to help you as well. Take Care! Stay Safe!
-
Not bashing but if the guy who dropped the trailer would have put blocks under the landing gear that never would have happened. Thank you for being one of the few good drivers left in this industry
-
If it was a dropped trailer swap, the other driver f---kd up? Didnt drop the loading gear far enough
-
that guy from CR England should be the one working the trialer jack not Nick for sure!!
-
Your a good man for helping out that driver, the only thing I would've done is to let that other driver raise the landing gear instead of you doing that. Takes a lot of work to raise in that situation. I hate drivers that don't know how to drop trailers. either too high or too low... LESSONS LEARNED....GOOD MAN.....
-
God bless you for helping others out, it's what drivers USED TO DO all the time, but I have to ask, why wasn't HE doing the cranking?
-
You're a good man for helping him out. Kudos to you.

San Antonio T/A 2014 a guy dropped so low he was leaning against another truck.
