Finally! I found a video that thoroughly and completely explains commutators! They've always been the one thing keeping me from understanding how DC electric motors and generators work! Now i finally understand! Thank's Edison Tech Center, you rock!

Where are the brushes in the DC operation? it supposed to have those brushes
-
Perfect, Thanks a lot.
-
Great video that you have showed me expect the clown that was smiling... (shivers!!)
-
any one can help me why at this position(vertical position of the conductor) conduct parallel to the field lines
-
THESE CLOWNS ARE SERIOUSLY GETTING OUT OF HAND
-
thanks !
-
I am so very very confused. What compels that rotor to move within the field, and how are those rings completing that circuit without touching the wires connected to the bulb?
-
really helpful
-
Very cool. Thanks a lot!
-
But how does the aperture move?
-
1:57 the clown really freaked my out
-
1:57 well that's me scarred for life
-
It explains in terms of the coil cutting lines of flux. Good idea to keep things simple!
-
tnx a lot
-
now finally I understood. thanks to almighty Allah. thank you too for uploading
-
I did not understand the dc part, the use of brushes and how exactly is the commutator converting acto dc : l
-
Excellent information one of the best tutorials. I love the old school videos.

It's awesome
