Machines | Cockshutt 1900 Supercharged GM 4-53 Pull
videos | at work | information | view | construction
A beautifully well kept Cockshutt model 1900 bears its teeth and pushes everything it can from it's General Motors 4-53 two stroke diesel engine. This is the noise of GM's famous Screamin' Jimmy in all it's oil spitting glory. The engine was dyno'd by Cockshutt and was found to produce 100.6hp at rated rpm. Pioneer Acres Museum, Irricana, Alberta.

That engine sounds like it wants doctor assisted suicide.
I'll be happy to remove the oil filter. -
Probably the worst company name in history.
Divorce proceedings:
Yes, Mrs. Greene agrees that that Mr. Greene can keep his Cockshutt and there will be no more interest. -
Indeed noisy as all get out and it never set any performance records when it came to fuel economy

I saw an Oliver 1900, the twin tractor to this one that was separated at birth, at the Pageant of Steam in Canandaigua, New York last weekend (8/ 9/ 2014).
