A unibody base manufactured from MEEHANITE cast-iron with extra heavy ribbing ensures structural stability and rigidity. The Heavy-duty box ways on the 45° slant-bed allow for the smooth, high-precision motions required for multi-axis cutting. The spindle on the UT-400 features a built-in gearbox with two-step gears to provide increased torque for accurate heavy cutting which is needed for complex large industry components (max. cutting length of 3 m). The UT-400’s power turret features an extra large coupling and uses a special driving method that is superior to the VDI design.
