This is a Class B pre-trip Inspection for any straight truck and school bus for Virginia Commercial Driving test with the DMV ( Department of Motor Vehicles).. This is basically the first thing you would be expected to do for a DMV examiner in the state of Virginia.. After this section there is a incab inspection which I left off but will link you to a class A incab inspection that I did just remember everything is exactly the same except the air break test which you will not call out "4 Psi in a min" you would need to say " I lost no more than 3 psi in 1 min of holding down my service brake pedal for exactly 60 seconds"...

Minus him calling the alternator a air compressor this video is everything you need to know for a Class B CDL pre trip
-
So you mention the slack adjuster but why not the push rod? Why not check it and make sure it's not bent or damaged? Jw.

This video helped me not only pass the pre trip it also helped me get class b CDL. Thank u J. Coleman

it's three quarters as far as the belt play in Virginia not quarter

11:42..... that is the alternator
-
what, you have to remember all this stuff to pass the test?
-
Great video really helpful 🇲🇽
-
dude, passenger side is the alternator not air compressor. You're going to make people fail by simple mistakes like this man wow.
-
Do you have to pull out all dipsticks in check fluids during the test or can you just explain that everything is level?

Good video

Good video. I've been driving for some time and was prepairing to take a performance test for the city. Watching your video helped refresh my memory and I scored very high on the test. Probably would have forgot to call out a lot of things if I had assumed I remembered everything.

Hey Jason, GREAT VIDEO! I'll be taking my skills test soon, any memorization tips for the pre-trip inspection? I live in Indiana and trying to start a new career in Class B driving. Thanks! I pick up on something new each time I watch this video!
