Hi Joseph, I built my tractor based on your design a couple of years ago and like it alot. I do find it a little difficult to move though. Do you have any suggestions for putting wheels on the heavy coop part? I can 'slide pull' the tractor sideways but cannot pull it longways from the end of the tractor where the coop door is. Thank you for the great design.

Just a note Joe you can build a garden waste reducer with fly screen (I like the synthetic rather than metal) and a plastic storage tub, like you get at Walmart but black soldier flies in it and harvest the larvae as chicken feet. After all birds are Carnivores not omnivores so your chickens will be much healthier if there based diet staple is "protein" as you put it.

Sweet ideas brother i like it

The feeder is in the wrong place. It should be in the middle of the pen wall. The chickens crowd and trample each other where the feed station is located now.

wouldnt that light mess with egg production?

One of the simplest way to build your own chicken coop is taking full advantage of chicken coop experts, no need to learn through trial and error like them before!
