Where is your seat belt dude? you just failed the test!
-
Great job thank you so much sir.
-
freaking love this guy:) lol
-
the easieat way to do complete brake test is to remember this
S - Static (or leak) test - no more than 3 PSI in 1 minute for a combination vehicle (5 PSI for Double or Triples)
A - Applied brake leak test - no more than 4 PSI in 1 minute for a combination vehicle (6 PSI doubles/triples)
L - Low air warning - about 60 PSI both audible and visual low air warnings should come on (some trucks audible will not work without engine running)
E - Emergency - Between 40-20 PSI the valves should pop out (red first, or both, never yellow first)
Do a safe start of the engine at this time
R - Rate of Pressure Build Up must go from 85 PSI to 100 PSI in 45 seconds (time it)
G - Governor Cut In/Out about 100 PSI for cut in and about 125 PSI for cut out
P - Parking and Trailer brake test - either the tractor or trailer spring brakes, push in either the red or yellow valve, truck in low forward gear and do a tug test against the spring brakes still applied, reverse the valves and do the tug test again
S - Push in both valves, truck low forward gear get up to about 5 mph (also checking speedometer is working) apply service brakes. Truck should not pull to one side or dip excessively.
Do not forget to check your seat belt first, Properly Mounted to truck, not fraying, excessively warn, cut and buckles correctly and the buckle is properly mounted to seat and truck floor. -
I loved . Good job . I did the witting test and I did it,

After turning engine OFF, CDL manual doesn't say to turn ignition ON until after leak check. Only when you get to step 2 of air brake check before fanning for alarm check does it say to do so. It makes sense to have ignition ON so you can see if its losing pressure within that minute. I wonder why they wrote it in the book that way.
