Never once have we had a light pop out on our T650 without the clear plastic over them. Only problem it's ever had is a leaking bob-tach cylinder that was fixed under warranty same day we brought it in.
-
the tracks on the cat skid steer loader are the weak point and will cost you 10.00 per hr in maintenance costs
-
both great looking capable machines.
-
those covers on the lights and the Velcro canvas over lift arm access, is for a forestry kit.
-
the lights come out on the bobcat for a reason say you backed into a tree and hit a big branch on the lights if the lights didnt pop out they would break their for need to buy new lights. although its annoying its for a reason
-
We actually had our bobcat lights pop out and melt!!
-
Glad u said u cant see out of it .....any were ... u said nothing about the front door that only opens 3/4 of the way .. not well layed out at all

I work in a nursery and we have both a cat 277c and a bobcat t650 that have roughly the same amount of hours on them. We use them for pulling trees with a tree spade and 75% of the year the nursery is a muddy mess so we need track loaders. I'll say that the cat is a great machine with lots of power and it can do things the bobcat cant but the cat is always having problems with its track assembly and twice with the engine. Every 1 to 2 months somethings gone wrong and I baby the crap out of this machine and take very good care of it. I like the machine I just don't like the fact that it's so unreliable. When I'm talking with the mechanic I always find things that are awfully designed. They were designed to do the job well but they weren't designed to last. This is what I know from my experience there may very well be better cat models just not the 277c. The machine is a great worker but is also a huge headache. it's been dubbed the stress machine.

Oh man, I miss being an Operator and running a 299D skidsteer. I put over 1000 hours on that skidsteer. Unfortunately, with it being the newest model on the market, it had a lot of technical difficulties (more so electrical, such as false alarms showing up often on the screen). The D has to be my favorite model, with C being the absolute WORSE model I've ever ran. And I've ran both rubber tire and track loaders.
I've never ran a Bobcat skidsteer before, but I have ran a Takeuchi skidsteer before, and that wasn't a half-bad machine. I never had the chance to branch out to different brands, mostly because the two construction companies I worked for, only bought CAT machines (which I wasn't arguing in the least). -
bobcats any day

Wondering if you have ever cut the exposed hyd. drive hoses when cleaning the undercarriage on the Cat machine? I like the Deere design better every bit as open as Cat but Deere shields the drive hoses.
-
Both machine are ragged out at 3k hours ... machines are asked for 100% for their whole life .... New broom sweeps well ... uncaring pig operators eat a machine in no time .....
-
The new bobcats have the big open undercarriage like the cats and they are really easy to clean out
-
the Bobcat show in the video with the plate going over the exhausted over the lights and cover the Hydraulics is called a forestry machine it so she doesn't catch on fire
-
john deere 70 skid loader is the best ever made lol
-
hi there have landscape company I am looking to buy bobcat but I don't know witch is good ?
-
Loved making this video with you Stan! CAT 299D is my dream machine.

what im am seeing here are a bunch of salesmen from cat that have no clue what they are talking about.we own a rental house in ny have have all bobcat track loaders .bobcat has the best track system made.i like the fact you guys are comparing all the space under the cat track loader undercarriage.terrible design.the reason bobcat has a enclosed system ,it was designed with the demolition contractors in mind .this open area is nothing but trouble ,steel rod demo materials large rocks all end up in this area when u are using it for cleanup.we used to rent 2013 cat loaders and demo contractor would complain all the time.about tracks coming off rollers.also we were seeing a lot of wear to the underside of the track because material that had easy access .this is the reason why bobcat uses a closed protected system.when it comes to knowing the durability of a machine dont waste your time with salesmen, ask someone who is in the rental business

Great video guys!

Anytime I looked at cats they are way over priced. I run Takeuchi track loaders seem to be the best for my application
