Ok so with much controversy in the D9H Cold Start Failure video I went back to try it again with the unit sitting right beside it. You can hear the dozer is running on a couple cylinders and we waited it out to finally wait for it to fire on all of them. You can clearly hear when it starts to hit and smooths right out.

D9H 90V is my favourite. And this cab is my favourite most desirable cab.
Just wish it had engine covers, a Bull Tilt 9SU blade and a single tyne ripper for regular ripping and not laying cable like this one.

First time starting a old cat i see. As soon as it fires turn the glow plugs back on. It will run smooth in a matter of seconds.

I drove fuel trucks in Oregon for years up to the woods. Fueled many a D-8 and a few D-9's, always a pleasure to be up on one fueling it when it was running. Love to hear the cold start and the sound of the injectors and valves rattle.
