little pond building project

How many days and yards of dirt did this end up being?
-
how much does a project like this run?
-
Why did you want a pond there?
-
I am not going to build a pond but I do need to clear an area for a drive way and where my house will be built. My question to you sir is: what one machine do you suggest to use for the removal of stumps, after I cut down all the tree's I will need to cut down? Thanks

I hope ya all left a clay liner inside the pond. Looks like the center of that pond has alot of sand in the material.

i dont wish to dampen your enthusiasm over a pond, .. but what a wasteful thing to do. in some countries, wood are fuel for cooking or building into useful furniture or things. here, i see a guy burning up useful timber over 4hrs of air pollution so he could dig a pond. i hope that the pond must be a useful and critical project for mankind, otherwise i feel sad about the wasteful acts of burning n digging.

Going down to the pond to throw some food in .Catfish have'nt been feeding much lately.

t koebel the t must stand for turd. you have no clue what you are talking about, the pond is an essential part of the ecosystem, more than the pile of brush they removed, + the ash contained nutrients that don't come from any other source.
-
now you need about 20 hogs in there to pack it
-
It's actually called a dam.
-
My concern is the shitheads in the EPA and Army Corps will ride in and take control over the water and adjacent area, private property be damned. For crying out loud, the Army Corp is now saying plowed furrows are 'wetlands' and the mounds are 'miniature mountain ranges' therefore fall under their jurisdiction. What's next, backyard kiddie pools are wetlands?

how do you keep the water from penetrating the ground
-
that looks a lot bigger than 3/4 of an acre.
-
How do you get the ground to hold water without it seeping away?
-
Very nice work sloping and track packing that.

Dams curve upstream not downstream

you could bury all the wood at the deepest part of the pond and stack the big logs as fish habitat.much better than burning the wood and less risk of causing a forest fire.
-
Dude, you have a tiny campfire.
-
that looks like a nice looking pond. and you do, do a really good jop of making ponds with all different sizes
-
Can't believe the EPA or the BLM/ Forest Circus would let you do this.......
